Job description

A great opportunity with a growing company for an Accountant. The successful candidate will review contracts, prepare financial statements and maintain our financial records. Working closely with our Controller to review and process all aspects of our finances. The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience and has an Accounting or Business Administration degree. Candidate must be proficient in Quickbooks and have an understanding of contracts, financial statements and intercompany transactions.

Responsibilities

• Enter data, bank reconciliations, and maintain records
• Accounts Payable
• Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Verify that transactions are accurately recorded in Quickbooks
• Work with with bookkeeper to ensure that all mail and invoices are opened, distributed and filed.
• With with control to maintain renewal records, e.g., insurance renewals
• Review contracts and prepare summary, including recommendations.
• Organize and maintain financial records
• Office Administration as needed
• Other tasks related to Accounting and Office Administration as requested

Skills

• Proven accounting and bookkeeping experience and understanding
• Must have knowledge of and the ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills
• Quickbooks proficient
• Pleasant and positive attitude and the ability to communicate on the phone, zoom meetings, texts and emails
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Preferred BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Ability to adjust to changes

Job Types: Full time with benefits

Pay: Starting salary 125,000 commensurate with experience.
