This Accountant I position will support the CFO and Accounting Manager in ensuring that all aspects of the financials for Talley Construction, TJ Hunt Trucking, and Retro Industries are completed timely. Flexibility, ability to work independently, great attention to detail, analytical ability, dedication, and strong teamwork skills are a must.

Duties will include:

• Responsible for various duties in the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to the Company’s financial statements, including daily bank transactions as well as fuel usage and shop labor.
• Maintain fixed assets in Sage/FAS for multiple companies.
• Work in a team environment to complete monthly close process and other projects as needed.
• Serve as back-up and support for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Payroll, as needed
• Willingness to be flexible in duties and have a “get-it-done” attitude, including extended hours when needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Accounting with minimum 3-5 years’ general accounting experience.
• CPA preferred
• Will have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must be a motivated self-starter able to work effectively with all divisions with limited supervision
• Must have intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Excellent typing/data entry skills, 10-key by touch
• VISTA by Viewpoint experience a plus
• Construction and trucking/logistics experience a plus
• Must have strong organizational skills
• Must pass post offer drug screen.
• Must provide proof of eligibility to legally work in the US.
