Accounting Assistant

I. POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the direction of the company CFO, and reporting to the Staff Accountant, the Accounting Assistant will be responsible for administering a wide range of accounting and administrative-related tasks, outreach, and assignments. This position will handle many critical and highly confidential information in a multitasking environment.

Accounting Assistant

• Process Accounts Receivable invoicing
• Assist with collection activity
• Field Service invoice management
• Freight reimbursable invoicing and reconciliation
• Merchant card processing
• Payables invoicing processing
• Job cost payables processing & reconciliations
• Employee reimbursements processing
• Weekly & bi-weekly payment processing
• Manage paperless AP process
• GL Entries & payroll posting
• Month-end accounting support and reconciliations

Administrative Support

• Field Service administration & invoice management
• Drug testing paperwork processing
• International travel paperwork preparation
• Commissions tracking & processing
• Electronic filing maintenance
• Answer telephones (shared responsibility)
• Other projects as assigned

III. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Personal - Hungry, Humble and Smart

Education – Associates degree from an accredited university in a business related field or comparable experience

Job Experience - Proven experience as a result orientated, highly motivated, passionately driven employee

Skills

• Strong communication skill
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
• Computer Proficient in CRMs, Microsoft Office Suite of products, especially Excel
• Self-motivated, accountable and accurate
• Resourcefulness is a must
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities self-sufficiently
• Independent judgement
• Good writing and math skills and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment

IV. PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This position may be exposed to prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending and stretching.
• The employee must be able to travel on occasion, as required (rarely but potential).
