You will be a key component in our company, working hand in hand with the owner and management team. You'll make suggestions on how to improve the business in order to drive results and achieve goals that have been set, and spend time trying to work smarter, not harder, to ensure the team is efficient and utilization is maintained.

There isn't an accounting department, so you'll personally be spending much of your time on typical accounting activities, like payroll, progress billing, A/R & A/P, financial analysis, and budgeting. In addition, you'll be execute the HR processes of the company including onboarding paperwork, coordinating benefits, and managing worker's comp and safety compliance.

The right candidate will grow into our Controller.

Pay rate is $80-100k per year depending on training and experience.

Purpose: Work closely with the owner to strategically manage the costs, risks, and capital investment operations of the business.

Accounting Manager Duties

• Data Entry: Responsible for insuring that all data is accurately entered in various financial software.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Prepares and schedules payments and oversees collections to manage cash flow and make financial recommendations.
• Company Performance: Prepares and makes available company and division performance reports (Profit & Loss, Job Costing etc.) by collecting, recording, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconciles all accounts monthly.
• Human Resources: General knowledge of Human Resources and Payroll, and work with PEO
• Financial meetings: Prepares reports, documents and maintains assets, and schedules asset, liability, budgeting, and capital financial/cash flow meetings with owner.
• Security: Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.

Accounting Manager Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent education and experience
• 5 Years of Relevant Accounting Experience Required
• Adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Practices and Standards
• Microsoft Excel wizard preferred
• QuickBooks certification preferred
• 10-key and typing (40-50 wpm) proficiency
• Must be drug free
• A credit report will be run
