Position Requirements include the ability to:

• Read / understand construction documents. (i.e. Architectural, Structural, MEP, etc.)
• Draft erection and fabrication drawings in AutoCAD / Sketchup
• Extract and create accurate shop drawings
• Coordinate submittals with Project Managers and General Contractors.
• Double check red lines.
• Excellent attention to detail, high level of accuracy and ability to QC your own work
• Work with Purchasing Manager regarding inventory and materials required for project.
• Work with Shop Managers to meet project fabrication deadlines and quality control checks.
• Work with vendors to obtain product data, details, lead times, etc.
• Work cooperatively with team members and maintain a positive and professional manner at all times
• Work quickly and efficiently, meeting tight schedules
• Focus and multi-task to meet deadlines
• Manage multiple projects in cooperation with field and office support teams.
• Detail various, custom, small projects.

Minimum Required Experience: Proficient in AutoCAD 2D (3D is a plus) Sketchup

• Misc. steel, structural steel background required
• Adobe Acrobat, Sketch up, etc...
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
