Bookkeeper, HR, Safety position:
Looking for qualified candidates that have at least 5yrs experience with Quickbooks, 2yrs experience with payroll and at least 2yrs of HR. Must be able to work in and handle stressful situations. Must be able to multi-task. Must be well organized and accuracy is a must. Must be able to work as a team player. Other duties include but are not limited to: answering phones, filing, gravel sales, other misc tasks as needed. Below listed are just some of the position functions:
Posting available positions in a variety of different areas
Screening applicants
Going thru the hiring process with chosen applicants
Looking over all the paper work for new hires to be sure everything is signed, dated and filled out appropriately
Grading the training test and filling out the certificates
Putting employee packets together and making sure they are complete
Company advertising and website updates
Annual MSHA training-setting up, cleaning up when done, entering certificate information and filing appropriately-this training has got to be done before it expires on a yearly basis
Making sure that designated employees complete any safety courses needed for particular projects and that they have certificates of completion
Maintaining and revising the company’s handbook on policies and procedures
Conducting new employee orientations and employee relations counseling
Maintaining department records and reports
Participating in all staff meetings
Compiling reports and spreadsheets and preparing spreadsheets
Collecting employment and tax information
Ensuring background and reference checks are completed
Serving as a point person for employee questions
Maintaining current HR files and databases
Maintaining records related to grievances, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
Performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained
Completing termination paperwork and assisting with exit interviews
Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating
Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees
Addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations
Developing and administering health and safety programs
Maintaining accident records
Maintaining DOT compliance records
Preparing government reports as to remain in compliance
