General Summary: Reports to the Vice President of Brand & Digital Strategy. The Brand Solutions & Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing full presentation strategy and corporate design materials with a focus on the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series as well as all properties owned by Tony Stewart and Gene Haas including NHRA, World of Outlaws, and Formula One assets. We’re looking for a strong storyteller with design sensibility — one that can take complex ideas and simplify them to showcase our brand, our sport, and our partner programs.

This position will assist in a variety of projects within the marketing group with a strong emphasis on supporting new business development. Day to day operations include developing and executing creative presentations, supporting ideation of marketing programs as well as enhancing current assets or researching new tools to improve our competitive advantage.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities in Order of Importance:

  • Manage full presentation production from copywriting to design for proposals, building a compelling story around our brand, prospective partners and integrated marketing programs that reflects the goals and values of both SHR and prospect
  • Work closely with the sales team to brainstorm and concept proposals/assets that align with the client’s and/or prospect’s goals
  • Perform research surrounding the sponsorship prospect to fully understand all aspects of their business
  • Translate ideas into compelling, concrete concepts and marketing platforms
  • Partner and collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to service ideation, presentation, and design needs
  • Stay up to date on sports sponsorship & brand marketing activations, trends & marketing strategies and understand how they can translate to SHR and its prospective & current partners
  • Develop new ideas and opportunities for presentation materials including, print, digital, and additional “out of the box” assets to help SHR differentiate itself
  • Uphold SHR’s design and voice & tone guidelines, possessing a strong knowledge of brand and design standards
  • Create official organizational corporate design materials including invitations, letterheads, presentation templates, etc. to ensure brand consistency
  • Support social & digital graphic needs including but not limited to updating weekly templates, website headers, YouTube thumbnails, email newsletters, etc.
  • Participate in weekly marketing and sales meetings
  • Participate in other projects related to SHR, Gene Haas and Tony Stewart
  • Support the marketing department’s duties during race weekends including, but not limited to, facilitating team sponsor requests, hosting sponsor executives, etc.

Education and Work Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree required

· 3+ years of experience as a graphic designer / visual communications specialist with a brand, agency, or sports team

· Knowledge of request for proposal (RFP) response or relevant experience in creative business development tactics preferred

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Possess strong technical skills including Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Keynote, and InDesign

· Copywriting skills to tell an effective story of sponsorship and our team’s ability to deliver against objectives

· Ability to understand and interpret briefs and projects, adapting your style/messaging to the needs of the client and project

  • Strong conceptual, strategic, analytical ability along with expert design and layout skill
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects and work through feedback and edits
  • Collaborative mindset with team members; open and receptive to creative direction and design feedback
  • Ability to consistently Uphold brand and style guidelines, and communicate and potentially teach these standards to others internally

· Understanding of sports sponsorship platforms, brand strategy and integrated marketing platforms

· Must be able to work non-traditional work hours (evenings, weekends, etc.)

  • Possess impeccable attention to detail and take pride in selling our brand through outstanding visuals/graphics

Work Environment Physical Demands:

Casual office environment that promotes self-sufficiency. No special physical demands required. Travel including weekends required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
