In this role, you will report to the Americas Managing Director and will be responsible for strategizing and overseeing all sales activities as well as coordinating the sales team.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Generate business in-line with COPA-DATA’s key Industries. Maximize the use of COPA-DATA products to develop solutions that provide business benefits to clients

· Independent Management and Development of the North American market as assigned by COPA-DATA in-line with business needs

· Proactive lead generation and pursuance of new business

· Utilize ALL available business development techniques, such as (but not limited to) cold calling, networking, visits, trade shows, industry associations, etc.

· Maintain an accurate and up-to date sales forecast

· Technically demonstrate COPA-DATA's software products

· Maximize client face time (End User, System Integrator and OEMs)

· Travel as necessary

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Lead, develop and train the sales team

· Oversee the entire sales process and make improvements as necessary for identifying prospects, cold calling, client visits and presentations/demonstrations to quoting and negotiating contracts

· Create and maintain a dynamic sales plan with clear and actionable targets for members of the sales team

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

· The ideal candidate has a technical background in software engineering or/and industrial automation

· At least 10 years of professional experience in driving sales growth with strong leadership skills

· Experience in B2B selling of sophisticated software systems, ideally within the industrial automation industry

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to inspire the team

· Knowledge of marketing and sales promotion techniques

· Ability to persuade and influence others; ability to develop and deliver customer presentations; ability to create, compose and edit written materials

· Willingness to work on a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel

· This role requires maintaining a professional appearance and promoting a positive company image.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $77,793.00 - $86,895.00 per year
