Business Development Representative

TMI Coatings, Inc. (TMI) is seeking an Business Development Representative for a new expansion territory created by increasing industry demand and recognition and our reputation for quality and safety.

About TMI:

  • TMI is an experienced, well-known Painting and Restoration Contractor that restores America’s infrastructure. TMI has been in business over 36 years.
  • Our expertise and experience includes the application of protective coatings for companies such as 3M, ADM, Honeywell and Cargill, and at the commercial and industrial sites of Fortune 1000 companies.
  • We also paint bridges, tanks, stacks and gates at locks and dams.
  • Our concrete coating division restores concrete and installs a wide variety of floor toppings
  • TMI’s building restoration services include brick and block replacement, tuck pointing, concrete restoration, and coating.

Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Achieve calls per hour goal.
  • Call Fortune 1000 companies during normal business hours.
  • Actively find sales leads for outside sales team members.
  • Find new customers and contact TMI’s existing customers for new opportunities for our construction services.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree.
  • Candidates must be persistent with good organizational and communication skills.
  • A driven sense of urgency, assertiveness, and high ego-drive are keys for success in this position.

Preferred Skills:

  • Enjoy prospecting and have enthusiasm for over the phone business-to-business sales.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and within TMI’s policies/procedures.
  • Construction experience and/or commercial paint knowledge will be helpful.
  • Familiar with ACT contact software management.
  • Business-to-business sales is helpful but not required.

This job will require 3+ months of training in our St. Paul office

Training:

  • Business Development Representatives will train with the existing sales team to gain industry knowledge

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary plus commissions
