Job Objective:

We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) who is passionate about organizational growth and development, administration, operational functions, as well as leadership, and teambuilding. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the Firm. As the COO, you will serve as the right hand to the founding partners by overseeing the implementation of Firm strategies, policies, and procedures.

You will achieve this through a variety of strategies including analyzing business operations to drive organizational growth, training, and professional development through mentorship, and ensuring policies and procedures are carried out effectively.

The right candidate will have extensive management experience with a law firm or large organization of 50+ employees, as well as exceptional problem-solving skills, communication skills, and is a visionary.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day leadership and management reflecting the vision, mission, and values of the Firm
  • Guiding the Firm to achieve business goals and objectives, as well as updating policies and procedures to achieve the goals and objectives
  • Ensuring measurement and effectiveness of all internal and external processes; providing timely, accurate, and complete reports on the operating condition of the Firm
  • Collaborating with the Managing Partners to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth strategies of the organization
  • Motivating and leading a high-performance management team; attracting, recruiting, training, and retaining employees for the Firm; providing guidance and mentorship as a cornerstone to our career development program
  • Fostering a success-oriented, accountable environment within the Firm
  • Representing the firm with clients, vendors, and business partners
  • Participating in administrative staff meetings and executive team meetings
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • MBA, JD or LLM degree
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the operations and management of a law firm or a large organization of 50+ employees
  • Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards
  • Strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus
  • Well-organized and self-directed with a team-player approach
  • Intelligent and articulate in relating to people at all levels of an organization with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Trustworthy with willingness to share information and to serve as a mentor
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for this “catch all” position
  • Decisive with a "big picture" perspective as well as versed in systems
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
  • Ability to make persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics
  • Committed to maintaining integrity and confidentiality on behalf of clients and the Firm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $200,000.00 per year
