Obermeyer Hydro, Inc. is the leading designer and supplier of inflatable water control gates and rubber dams in the world. We have a global presence in the hydroelectric, water storage, water diversion, and flood control industries.

Looking for civil/mechanical designer for large scale water control gates. Steel structures weldments and foundation layouts including anchor bolts and piping. Heavy civil experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical assemblies and components working with a project engineer
• Design high quality, innovative, and cost-effective designs
• Create solid models, component drawings and assembly drawings
• Customer submittal drawings
• Conduct tolerance analysis
• Follow company and ASME/ISO design standards to document product designs

Required Experience

• Associates degree in design or similar
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design (including post Associates education)
• 1+ years working with SolidWorks
• Exposure to ASME drafting standards

Preferred Experience

• Hands on experience in construction
• Heavy civil design experience preferred
• Experience and interest in 3D printing

Pay: $49,000.00 - $89,000.00 per year
