Celebration Church Communications Director Job Description

Celebration Church is seeking a part time Media Director to oversee digital and print outreach and marketing at our two campuses in Montrose, Colorado. Celebration Church currently averages 350 people in two worship services. We are seeking to expand to a remote site and add one or more services to accommodate our rapid growth. The Communications Director will take current digital and print communications and make them as compelling as possible. Celebration Church is a church committed to making disciples who make disciples of Jesus Christ.

Qualifications:

● A mature relationship with Jesus Christ that is clearly exhibited in the director’s life.
● A heart that is aligned with Celebration Church’s core values, especially in the areas of unity, discipleship, and service.
● Degree in communications, graphic design, media, or related field, or at least 2-4 years experience in communications.
● Proficient in Adobe products.
● Graphic design skills.
● Creative Suite programs, such as Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro, and Illustrator.

Proficiency in Office Suite, Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Facebook,
Youtube, and Instagram required. Other platforms are a plus.

● Excellent written and oral communication skills.
● Proven ability to take projects from beginning to end.
● Organized and able to manage multiple projects.
● Action-oriented and displays focus, passion and initiative. Takes appropriate action when something needs to be done.
● Relates well to all kinds of people, builds effective relationships, communicates effectively both interpersonally and corporately.

● Proven ability to provide communications solutions and manage a media team.

Responsibilities:

The communications director is responsible for:

1. Website
o Maintain church website.

2. Video Announcements

o Develop materials for on site advertising of events and service opportunities (i.e. Screen slides and weekly video announcements). o Develop materials unique to Celebration Church such as sermon bumpers, sermon slides, weekly video announcements, etc.

3. Promotional materials/Advertising
o Develop systems to organize, prioritize and communicate promotional items related to

Celebration Church. o Oversee all print and digital materials related to promotions, ensuring they are executed with excellence.
4. Social Media o Lead all efforts related to the creation, strategy, and execution of Celebration Church digital communication channels. o Creatively build followings on various social media outlets including but not limited to
Montrose Message Board, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. o Oversee social media messaging and communication strategies. o Lead messaging and strategy for social media advertising campaigns. Design & Brand

Management
5. Communication (Emails, Newsletters) o Proactively develop strategies to clarify and communicate the weekly messaging of the church, in partnership with Lead Pastor, and Discipleship Pastor, and Satellite Campus
Pastor.

6. Bulletin
o Coordinate the production of the print weekly bulletins as well as digital weekly email communications to the church body.
7. Livestream/YouTube o Oversee the strategy and execution of the weekly Live Stream. o Schedule and train audio/visual and video production volunteers.

▪ Oversee the strategy, technology and execution of broadcast to the remote church site.

8. Photography/Video Editing
9. Graphic Design o Lead efforts to design all art and promotional materials related to church-wide activities with a high standard of creativity, excellence and effectiveness. o Network with contract and volunteer artists to develop graphic designs. o Monitor the look, vibe and feel of all promotional materials representing Celebration

Church.
10. Team Development o Enlist, equip and encourage qualified volunteer teams and interns to accomplish communications goals.

Relationships:

● The Communications Director reports directly to the Lead Pastor and serves at the unified consensus of the Oversight Team (Elders).

● The Communications Director will interact with the Worship Team Leads regarding audio/visual, live streaming, etc.
