Description:

Gross Electric Inc., a 29 year old electrical contractor, that continues to grow each year. We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Accountant with experience in the construction industry. These positions requires excellent inter-personal skills and self-motivated individuals with a strong work ethic who also have the ability to perform at all levels and as part of a team and as an individual.

Responsibilities:

Payroll Functions:

• Review and process weekly payroll
• Reconcile all PR taxes and conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly payment/filings
• Manage employee files within accounting

AR Functions:

• Prepare & review AR invoices
• Prepare AIA’s
• Enter in new customers

Other functions include but not limited to:

• Assist with continuous improvement of systems
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as
• Coordinate with and prepare reports for projects

Requirements:

• Associate degree (Accounting, Business) or equivalent experience, preferably within construction; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Typical hours are 7:00 AM TO 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Qualifications/Skills/Software:

• Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Microsoft Office proficiency, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
