Position: Construction Project Manager

Cooper Tacia General Contracting Company, founded in 2003, is a full-service and fast-growing general contracting and project management company. This year we will complete projects throughout the southeast United States ranging from large-scale manufacturing, office buildings, government and education facilities, restaurant & retail spaces, apartment complexes, and water and wastewater treatment plant upgrades.

As a Project Manager at Cooper Tacia General Contracting Company, you play a critical role within the Project Team by maintaining a thorough knowledge of construction projects and overseeing the efficient execution of contract requirements. You will report directly to our Operations Manager and work closely with the Site Superintendent and Project Administrator to complete projects on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management direction for project.
• Establish project objectives.
• Negotiate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Maintain liaison with prime client contract.
• Schedule coordination.
• RFI submission.
• Submittal tracking.
• Monitor construction and financial activities.
• Accountable for maintaining budget and profitability goals.

Requirements

• Dynamic, professional leader with
• 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction project management
• Excellent Computer Skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks is required
• Excellent organizational skills

Education:

• B.S. in Engineering and/or Construction Management is required

Qualifications:

• Able to understand construction drawings and specifications
• Has strong communication, negotiation, and mediation skills
• Possesses superior attention to detail in order to spot inconsistencies in contracts
• Able to work productively independently and as part of a team
• Must have excellent analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities
• Should exhibit strong organizational and time management abilities

Compensation

• Salary Range $90k - 120k
• Signing Bonus $10k
• Access to 401k
