We are seeking a dynamic Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our rapidly growing team to drive performance at James Madison University (JMU Dining) by creating a multi-channel strategy to analyze trends and optimize performance. Communicate with customers via social media, email, and website platforms while partnering with the marketing team to drive followers, likes, engagement, and conversions effectively.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Create, deploy, and track captivating content with campaigns geared toward customers and prospects

· The primary role requires writing and curating video and photography for JMU Dining’s website landing pages, emails, and social media platforms

· Execute results-driven campaigns for social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube

· Collaborate with the team to coordinate digital coverage of all marketing promotions and events

· Work with subject matter authorities on a variety of topics and translate that information into captivating and concrete storytelling

· Utilize analytics to inform decisions on strategy, content, and engagement, while tracking the effectiveness through measurable goals

· Support the development and implementation of internal marketing strategies to drive meal plan sales, increase engagement, promote thought leadership, and develop brand awareness

· Keep up to date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience delivering effective and innovative digital campaigns
• Passion and proficiency with major social media platforms and digital analytics
• Direct experience with management of social media channels and media management tools (Hootsuite, Emplify)
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premier Pro) or equivalent digital media editing tools with an eye for design
• Previous experience with photo and video projects, including shooting and editing.
• Ability to share portfolio upon request.
• Multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Detail-oriented approach with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter who can work independently or collaboratively with a team of creators and project managers
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here

EDUCATION

· Bachelor's degree in marketing, media, communications, or related field

· 1-2 years of diverse experience working in marketing, social media or similar roles preferred.
