Saratoga Forest Management is seeking hard working, motivated individuals to fill Entry-Level Sawmill Worker positions. Entry Level Sawmill jobs include stacking lumber, wrapping lumber bundles, sorting lumber and other hands on positions. All positions require the applicant to perform the assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Successful candidates in these positions can qualify for training and advancement in other areas of the sawmill. We are the largest sawmill in the area and a leading employer in Carbon County, Wyoming. General Labor, Entry Level Sawmill Worker Job Responsibilities

All employees, including General Labor employees, must follow all company policies related to safety and job performance.

Entry level sawmill workers must perform their task safely, accurately and efficiently. The assigned task may include pulling, organizing and stacking lumber as it moves down a conveyor, or wrapping lumber that has been stacked and banded into units, or other hands-on tasks.

Each entry level sawmill worker is required to maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Employees in all positions, including general labor positions, must have excellent attendance and a commitment to perform at an above average level.

Willingness to work together is a team environment and contribute in a variety of ways as the tasks necessitate.

Required Skills

A commitment to safely, and a dedication to perform at an exceptional level.

Situational awareness, manual dexterity and good judgment.

Entry level sawmill workers must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job including long periods of standing, bending, and lifting lumber, occasionally up to 50 lbs. Exposure to ambient temperatures.

Must have good attendance, a good work ethic and ability to work in a team environment.

Required Experience

For this entry level, general labor sawmill worker position, no prior experience is required. Individuals will receive on-the-job training. Workers who demonstrate superior skills can expect opportunities for advancement into other positions within the company.

Position Type

Full-Time/Regular. Notice: Saratoga Forest Management is currently operating on an 10 hours per day schedule, 5 days per week.

Salary

$14.00 per hour plus overtime and a bonus for meeting production goals. The overtime and bonus allows our entry level workers the opportunity to earn over $800 per week. Position includes full benefits after 90 days.
