McNally Restaurant Group operates iconic downtown restaurants Balthazar, Minetta Tavern and Morandi. We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our team. Our office environment is quiet and friendly and this Company is a great place to grow your career.

Ideal candidate must be able to independently support day-to-day financial activities of the Company including producing accurate financial records, assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements and other accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable. This position reports directly to Controller.

Responsibilities include:

• Reconciling daily sales and assuring credit card and cash payments received accordingly
• Preparing bank reconciliations
• Maintaining general ledger and ensuring all financial transactions within the company are accounted for
• AR and AP reconciliations
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Maintaining prepaid expenses and accruals
• Making weekly payroll journal entries
• Assisting with month-end close process
• Assisting the controller as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and will be able to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized and detailed oriented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
