The Maintenance Mechanic, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, will primarily be responsible to ensure compliance with company policies and standards, for effective and efficient machine and ancillary equipment maintenance, consistent with company goals. This position will actively participate in the company preventative maintenance program. This role will troubleshoot machines and install required equipment.

Responsibilities:

• • Preventive and Service Maintenance of 400–1000-ton Injection Molding Machines: Cincinnati, Husky’s/Engels/Mitsubishi equipment
  • Optimize Run Time / Minimize Downtimes
  • Maintain a clean, efficient, safe, and healthy work environment with adherence to health and safety policies and regulations
  • Respond to production problems on the floor. Troubleshoot and adjust equipment as required.
  • Attend to problems with support equipment where capable
  • All other responsibilities and duties, as assigned
  • Ensure safe work practices, and good manufacturing practices, are being followed
  • Ability to work day and night shift on a rotating schedule

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-3 years’ experience in a maintenance within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Additional work experience a plus and can provide increase in starting wage
• Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blue prints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.
• Ability to use precision measuring devices including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges
• Basic understanding of systems, equipment and schematics
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skills
• Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions
• Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties
• Ability to work day and night shift on a rotating schedule
