VAST Clinical Research is a Site Management Organization (SMO) composed of a robust network of premier investigational sites. We conduct Phase I-IV clinical trials, working closely with and in support of biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, pharmaceutical and clinical research organizations in North America.

VAST is looking for an experienced MD (Must be Board Certified) with their own practice to be part of our research site network. Preference is given to candidates with their medical practice in the Dallas-Ft.Worth Area.

This position works in coordination with the study-specific team including: Operations Manager, Site Manager, and Study Coordinator. Very flexible part time hours and low stress.

Responsibilities
Physicians are considered to be leaders when taking on a research study, this leader position is called Principal Investigator (PI). The type of work performed by the PI is similar to the procedures performed at his/her clinic. Research subjects are seen at the PI’s clinic and are scheduled for appointments similar to a physician’s regular practice.

• Ensures the medical well-being and safety of the participants through the safe performance and execution of the studies.
• Assists in maintaining clinical oversight and quality on the studies registered on and delivers on study targets, thereby contributing to the commercial success of the site.
• Reviews enrollment progress, pre-screening and screening success rates, screen failure rates, safety, and retention of participants.

Interprets protocols and IB and participates in initiatives to strategize for patient recruitment.

• Carries out clinical evaluation and assessment of participants to ensure eligible participants are enrolled onto studies.
• Ensures and protects the welfare and safety of participants through ethical conduct.
• Fulfills and comply with all medical duties as per protocol, SOP and ICH GCP and local regulations.Education, Experience & Requirements
• Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine (MD or DO) - Must be Board Certified
• Valid unrestricted license from the Medical Board to practice as a physician in Texas, with no pending or previous disciplinary action from any state licensing entity.
• Valid Texas DEA license
• 2-4 years of experience in clinic based or community health center environment preferred
• Research Experience not required.
• Comprehensive training will be provided.
• Malpractice coverage
• Leadership and/or management skills and experience valued.
• Ability to communicate and work well with all cultural and ethnic populations in the community, including fluency in written and spoken English.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
