Business Advisory Solutions Group (BASG) is talking with candidates for an IT Project Manager opportunity that is immediate and will run through the end of 2023. There is a possibility of extension.

This is a remote position with occasional travel. To facilitate needed office commitments, only candidates who live in North or South Carolina, Florida or Georgia will be considered. Please, no exceptions to this request!

This PM will work through an IT PMO on a wide range of IT focused projects on the infrastructure/hardware side of IT. Experience in this area of IT is required; application development PM’s will not be a good match.

This assignment will run at least through the end of this year; there is a possibility of extension or even conversion at the end of that term. The start date is immediate.

BASG cannot work through any agencies to fill these positions. Please do not respond if you represent or work through an agency. Also, BASG cannot work with offshore resources or respond to requests for Visa transfers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Manage IT projects with a moderate to high level of risk / regulatory oversight.
• Serve as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders to identify, document, and resource requirements.
• Manage projects with high-level of Project Management rigor (i.e., PMBoK/industry standards)
• Manage IT technology initiatives from concept through implementation.
• May manage multiple projects at any given time and time horizon of projects generally range from medium to long term.
• May indirectly manage cross-Line of Business (LoB) Project team consisting of Business Analysts, Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Technology Resources where applicable to the project.
• May use traditional waterfall, agile, Scaled Agile, or a mixture of project management techniques.
• Manage and escalate program issues to the IT Program Manager, IT PMO Manager, and IT Leadership as needed.
• Develop and report upon KPIs to IT Program Managers, IT PMO Manager, and IT Leadership.
• Monitor and report on project status to IT Program Managers, IT PMO Manager, IT Leadership, and Bank Leadership.

COMPETENCIES

• Experience managing IT Projects in areas including infrastructure, hardware, systems, and data centers!!
• Advanced understanding of project management best practices, methodologies, lifecycle.
• Applied knowledge of waterfall and agile project management tools
• A strong self-starter, takes initiative, can easily see the big picture to analyze, summarize, and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Experience with data management, data mapping, data modeling, and governance. Keen understanding of risk management & regulatory demands.
• Experience in Information Technology, including medium to high-level of proficiency related to IT terminology, operations, and functions.
• Collaborative style with ability to quickly build trust and credibility.
• Need to work effectively in a matrix organization/environment.

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college or equivalent in related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering Required.
• Experience: At least five years of Project Management experience required.
• Experience managing IT projects including areas such as infrastructure, hardware, systems, data centers. NOTE: Software development projects will not qualify.
• Certifications/Specific Knowledge: PMP, CSM, and/or SAFE certifications are highly desirable.
