Job Description

Landscape Crew Members work as part of a team to provide landscaping services to businesses and residences. As a Landscape Crew Member on our team, you must operate mowers, leaf blowers, weed whackers, and other common tools to create and maintain manicured lawns & gardens in an efficient manner, promoting job worksite safety, providing excellent customer service, and exhibiting pride and quality workmanship.

Lawn Care Team Member

● Proficiently and safely use mowers, weed eaters, and common hand tools to trim grass, edge lawn areas, and maintain nearby plants and foliage. Operate leaf blowers and gather grass and hedge trimmings for removal

● Work outdoors in all weather conditions, maintaining energy and pace along with the team

● Drive a truck with trailer to various client locations and ensure proper storage of equipment during transport

● Always represent the company’s best interest, maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

● Maintain a clean and safe job site, while ensuring customer property is not damaged.

● Maintain and care for company provided equipment, tools and vehicles.

● Perform highly physical work outdoors on a consistent basis in all weather conditions.

● Work as part of a team and take direction.

● Understand and meet contract scheduled deadlines without sacrificing great customer service or excellent quality.

● Keep accurate timesheet records, submitted for review and signoff by the required deadlines.

● Perform other tasks or projects as assigned/instructed by Foreman.

Garden Team Member

● Day to day care and maintenance of gardens for commercial and residential customers.

Includes pruning, weeding, trimming, edging, laying bark mulch.

● Day to day care and maintenance of hedging including the ability to provide knowledge, input and advice relating to all aspects of gardening, pruning, staking, feeding and spraying.

● Carry out an agreed annual maintenance program for customers in effort to maintain gardens to standard.

● Undertake weekend watering duties as and when required

● Regularly inspect any garden structures and undertake minor repairs or advising manager

● General garden carpentry such as assembling and maintaining furniture, replacing handles and similar hardware.

● General minor painting & decorating to maintain garden appearance

● Identify hazards, defects and the need for attention; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safety

● Communicating and planning with the Manager and performing jobs as and when they are required.

● Carry out planned tasks in accordance with contract/agreed requirements

● Carry out tasks within agreed time limits to meet customer deadlines

● Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organization and/or its visitors, clients/customers to Manager

● Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole

● Contribute towards the smooth running of the team

Requirements and Qualifications

● Must have a valid driver’s license, clean DMVR and current auto insurance coverage.

● Highly motivated, self-driven, flexible and detail oriented.

● Reliable and self-motivated

● Must be professional in appearance and actions.

● Great time management skills

● Ability to communicate with customers in a clear, informed and professional manner

● Punctual and dependable with a can-do attitude.

● Ability to work effectively with individuals of differing backgrounds, knowledge and skill levels.

● Reliable transportation to and from work.

● Able to lift upwards of 50 pounds and bend, lift, and stand for extended periods

● Familiarity with common landscaping equipment

● Prior experience or work in lawn care and/or gardening (preferred)

Education

● Minimum Preferred Education High School Graduate, GED

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.18 - $18.00 per hour
