The Buffalo headquartered law firm of Hurwitz Fine P.C. is currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team. Duties include:

• Providing high quality administrative and legal support in a timely manner
• Assist in preparing legal documents including, but not limited to, pleadings, motions, and correspondence to opposing counsel and to the court
• Track documentation and procedural developments in numerous proceedings and litigation
• Schedule depositions and subsequent coordination
• Maintain litigation docket and calendar, noting deadline dates for responsive pleadings/motions, court appearances, and other important deadlines
• Assist attorneys in preparation for meetings, hearings, depositions and trials
• Maintain, organize and track files
• Client communication
• Assistance with daily case management and general assistance to very busy practice

Qualifications: Paralegal Certificate or Associates degree in related field

• At least three years of paralegal experience is required; experience in litigation is preferred
• Commensurate combination of education and experience will be considered
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to work with legal technology (NYSCEF and Federal court ECF, transcription software, digital dictation equipment, etc.)
• Must be motivated, self-starter and be able to work independently
• High level of dependability in completing assigned tasks and following through on assignments
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Must be able to multi-task
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
