Stella-Jones seeks a Machine Operator for our Fulton, KY operations. This role will have an opportunity to work with a variety of different pieces of heavy equipment dependent upon your skills and qualifications as well as work in different areas of the plant.

1st Shift; Schedule is Monday - Friday: 5:30A-2:00P
2nd Shift; Schedule is Monday - Friday: 3:00P-11:30P includes $0.75 shift differential.
3rd Shift; Schedule is Sunday - Thursday: 10:30p-7:00A includes $1.00 shift differential.

Here's What You'll Do:

• Forklift operator – Operate a 36,000lb forklift moving bundles of railroad ties to various production centers within the plant
• Knuckleboom operator – Utilize a knuckleboom to stack and unstack railroad ties in the production process
• End-plate and pre-plate operator – Operate a state of the art automated machine while overseeing the application of steel plates to railroad ties
• Completes daily inspection and maintenance report for assigned machine and identifies operational issues
• Maintains high levels of quality and safety standards
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• One-year experience in heavy industrial machine operations
• Good eye/hand coordination
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
• Wood products experience preferred
