Position Summary:
The Manager, Spare Parts Operations, is responsible for management and coordination of the spare parts processing operation. The Manager, Spare Parts Operations will utilize subordinate staff and available company resources to ensure a high level of customer service and warehouse productivity, operating efficiency, quality assurance and cost containment. The Manager, Spare Parts Operations will report directly to the President of Amandus Kahl USA Corporation.
Essential Responsibilities:
Major specific functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
· Oversees Spare Parts department for Amandus Kahl USA Corporation, Neuhaus Neotec USA Corp. and Heinen USA Corporation to ensure effective spare parts operational processes
· Maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control processes
· Selects, trains and supervises the spare parts coordinators and shipping and receiving team and monitors their progress to ensure assigned tasks are completed in accordance company objectives. Supervision of the direct reports would include performance planning and review, discipline and employee problem solving.
· Ensures that spare parts activities are properly coordinated with work in Richmond and Reinbek and supports the overall goals of the company.
· Interprets engineering drawings and spare parts manuals to determine appropriate parts for customer’s needs.
· Identifies and resolves all issues in spare parts department and ensures achievement of all short and long term objectives.
· Maintains records of inventory levels and manages annual physical inventory
· Liaise with engineers, field service team and management to ensure spare parts are modified, configured and installed according to customer’s needs.
· Develops business opportunities in the spare parts area
· Supports accounting members with tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts to keep them current.
· Produces quarterly and yearly financial and management reports for the spare parts business
· Makes visits to customers to support customers, sell spare parts and to maintain customer relationship and satisfaction
· Performs other miscellaneous duties and /or other special projects as required.
