Our practice is growing and we are adding a full-time Medical Receptionist to our team!

We are a busy cardiology practice with 4 locations (Dearborn, Taylor, Berkley, and Rochester) and 9 providers. This position primarily work in Berkley but would be expected to cover the other locations if ever needed (cover vacations or sick coverage).

The ideal candidate is reliable, has a positive attitude, and great work ethic. The hours for the position are Monday - Thursday from 8:45am-5:00pm and Fridays from 8:45am-3:00pm. The schedule does run over sometimes and the staff is expected to stay until patients are all finished.

Duties:

• Greet patients with a smile and enthusiastically assist them
• Check patients in and out following office protocols
• Schedule office and testing appointments for new and established patients
• Answer calls and communicate effectively with patients, their family, and other medical professionals
• Verify insurances and ensure all global referrals are active for appointments
• Sort and distribute incoming faxes and paperwork
• Other misc. duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Great attention to detail and highly organized
• Exemplary customer service skills and a can-do attitude
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Must be proactive and be able to problem-solve autonomously
• Previous experience as a medical receptionist highly preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology strongly preferred
