Cardinal Internal Medicine is a busy multi-provider internal medicine practice looking for a Scheduler to join our call center team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Answering high volume of phone calls, scheduling appointments, and assisting patients with general questions.

- Checking patients in and out

- Obtaining/Updating patient demographics.

- Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits.

- Directing patient calls to the appropriate department.

- Assist with scanning.

- Assist front desk with medical records including HEDIS.

Preferred Skills

- Must be able to multi-task

- Must be proficient with computers, exp with eClinicalWorks is a MUST.

- Knowledge of medical terminology

- Excel in a team environment as an individual contributor

- Bilingual is a plus

- Must have a strong desire to help others

- Ability to work with a high degree of attention to details and confidentiality.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

- 1 year minimum experience in a medical office is REQUIRED (Please do not apply if you have not worked in a medical office for 12 full months)

- EMR experiance ( eClinicalWorks)

- High School diploma/GED required.

- Enrolled in health care courses such as Health Care Administration, Nursing, Medical Assisting.

- Pre-employment back ground check and drug screening required.
