Clarus Dermatology is a growing Dermatology practice with a new clinic in Spicer, MN. We are seeking a full-time Medical receptionist/Registrar for the Spicer Location.

As a Receptionist/Registrar you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our Receptionist’s duties include offering friendly administrative support across the organization. You are the first person our patients will see when they arrive.

To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a friendly and pleasant personality; as this is also a customer service role. Multitasking and efficiency are essential for this position and ability to work alone. Sales experience is a plus as we do sell retail product.

At Clarus Dermatology our receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes patients positively, makes the check in process fast and efficient and informs our patients of our policies to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office
• Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
• Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
• Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
• Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
• Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
• Keep inventory of stock
• Schedule appointment for multiple locations and providers
• Insurance Verification
• Collect copays, payments and daily reconciliations
• Insurance Verification
• May be crossed train to help in the back office

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to schedule appointments over the phone and in person and gathering all pertinent information
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
• Excellent organizational skills
• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Customer service experience
• Ability to work alone and collaborating with others
• Reliability and dependable a must
• Billing experience a plus

The position is for Monday - Friday.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
