Requirements

• Exclusive US citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required
• MS or PhD in Engineering or Physics from an accredited university is required
• Minimum 5 years Engineering or Physics experience in applied research and development is preferred

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualified Candidates will be able to:

• Demonstrate high proficiency in numerical methods
• Use multiple computational modeling software packages proficiently (e.g. COMSOL, STAR-CCM+, CST, Abaqus)
• Solve complex multiphysics problems in at least one of the following areas:
  • Fluid, thermal, and structural interactions
  • Coupled electromagnetics and fluid dynamics
  • Electromagnetics, materials, thermal, and structural interactions
  • Multi-scale materials property modeling
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of mathematics and physics as it applies to unique aerospace and defense engineering problems
• Leverage software tools such as Python, MATLAB, or equivalent programs
• Collaborate with R&D team to formulate conceptual design of products or systems to meet customer requirements
• Develop and execute technical tasks and objectives to meet customers’ schedules and budgets
• Support business growth through active participation in bids and proposals
