Overall Responsibilities:
Develops strategies, tactics, goals, and assertive plans to win (or expand) new or existing pharmaceutical contract manufacturing business (CMO’s) and contract development business (CDMO’s) to facilitate new revenue generation and growth of Neolpharma Puerto Rico operations. Identifies and negotiates new business related to Neolpharma manufacturing activities at the Caguas Site. Manages the strategic aspects of new business development projects and mitigates any risk. Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies. Organizes and leads meetings with potentials new customers and PR & Mexico leadership team to discuss potential projects and prepare assessments and/or estimates to submit final proposals to clients. Works on budget preparation and capital requests as needed to support new projects. Acts as a federal government contract advisor and typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include searches for, evaluates, compiles, and submit open bids for government contracts.
Leads to development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes to maximize the company's sales and marketing opportunities and capabilities collaborating closely with Director of Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and/or Specialized Functions in Mexico. Develops and executes strategic and tactical plans for new business development and participation in industry events to promote the company using traditional media and innovative US & International trade strategies.
Promotes and the enforces equity and ethical and professional standards and organizational values.
Primary Functions:
1. Research markets, competitors, start-ups, patents, potential customers with the goal of identifying new business targets, developing concrete plans, and implementing them with expected results in different therapeutic areas.
2. Seeks US and International CMO’s and CDMOs new business opportunities aligned with client needs. Understands the implications of different technical choices and guides clients to the best solution for their business scenario.
3. Creates a large pipeline of business within a short period of time; identify new opportunities to grow business, increase sales, and broaden brand and product recognition. Develop and execute sales strategies.
4. Develop and maintain a one-to-three-year sales master plan with respective market and/or segment goals and establish and maintain a quarterly review mechanism for feasibility, effectiveness, and performance measurement.
5. Negotiate Agreements with Customers and Partners: Establishes partnership terms that create a win-win for our customer and maintain a business development centered culture to maximize the revenue source.
6. Develops direct and indirect sales channels and closing business directly with end-customers as a means to meet or exceed revenue goals. Communicate effectively with customers and prospects on all available channels, including digital, and move each opportunity through the various stages of the sales cycle.
7. Organizes, plans, directs and coordinates all business development activities related to CMO’s build and manage a sales team; help define marketing activities; conduct presentations and business proposals; and manage contracts through deal closing.
8. Grows long-term relationships with clients and capitalizes on partnership opportunities. Defines ways to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
9. Provides leadership and guidance in all aspects of the project cycle in the project portfolio. Ensures project delivers superior solutions to clients. Directs project managers and addresses issues as appropriate.
10. Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) and prepare reports on account status. Identify the products in the portfolio to be offered (e.g., type of products and/or services) and the priorities to be worked with in the market bearing in mind the Corporation's internal plans for the manufacturing plant.
11. Ensures project meets or exceeds budgeted financial objectives.
12. Identify acquisition cards and potential strategic partners (including competitors) in line with the business strategy in order to optimize costs to the customer and increase the competitiveness of the offering.
13. Coordinating with federal government agencies to ensure that all regulations are met and preparing proposals to sell goods or services to new clients or to increase business with existing clients.
14. Negotiating contracts and developing and implementing contract administration procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
15. Analyzing bids and proposals to determine whether they meet legal requirements and are financially viable for the company.
16. Manage government contracting functions.
17. Reviewing websites where government bids are posted.
18. Qualify and summarize open bids.
19. Work with Operations, Finance and other organizational departments to collect bid requirements.
20. Draft bid applications.
21. Submit bids on behalf of the company.
22. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Supports the development of the company structure and help streamline processes and procedures in a fast-growth market.
2. Establish the differentiating factors in the offer to delight the customer and be able to compete adequately in the competitive world of CMOs.
3. Synchronize internally within the organization the corresponding roles and responsibilities for the purpose of delighting the customer, achieving the sale and optimizing the capitalization of the opportunity from an operational point of view.
4. Keep abreast at all times and educate the organization on CMO and OEM industry developments and their respective markets

Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Science, Engineering or Industrial Management. Master's degree in Management or related field preferred.
· Ten to twelve years of related experience in manufacturing operations for the pharmaceutical industry. At least five years in a leadership role in contract manufacturing environment is desired.
· Experience in elements, structure, processes and dynamics of operational costing in pharmaceutical manufacturing and contract manufacturing operational experience.
· Strong background in research and the ability to review and quickly process technical information.
· Demonstrate high ethical and professional standards at all times
· Travel within US territory for normal business with occasional travel outside the territory for other business events
· Experience in regulatory and government compliance, including quality systems, certifications, etc.
· Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish)
