POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing Associate will provide expert support to the Marketing Director. A successful candidate will require non-traditional marketing skills, attention to detail, thoroughness, time management and effective prioritization. The Marketing associate will work directly with the Marketing Director in coordination of events and trade shows within the region. This position ensures that events align with Home Solutions Midwest’s mission, vision and objectives; that key messages are communicated through events. The Marketing Associate will plan activities which can include face-to-face, telephone and written interaction with prospects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Works collaboratively with Marketing Director to understand business objectives and audience insights, drive project deliverables and track against goals.

· Provides administrative support to Marketing Director

· Provides overall direction at events to Brand Ambassadors

· Canvasing and proximity marketing

· Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitive set to stay ahead of competition

· Organize and coordinate events, planning and staff

· Conduct post event evaluations

· Represent Home Solutions Midwest in the community and at community events

· Ensure events meet success criteria

· Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty independently and satisfactorily. Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form and interface with all departments. Must maintain professional and execute Home Solutions Midwest Brand requirements. Must be able to multi-task, be accurate, have good organizational skills and handle high levels of stress. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Creativity and meticulous attention to detail

· Strong multitasking skills

· Team Player

· 1-2 years in event support preferred

· Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with a positive and professional manner

· Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, knowledge of internet

· Maintain neat, well-groomed, professional appearance

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, or prolonged periods of standing at events. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
