A highly respected commercial appraisal firm is seeking an experienced Operations Manager. We are the NorCal offices of Valbridge Property Advisors, the nation’s largest independent commercial appraisal firm. Headquartered in San Jose, with offices in San Ramon and Roseville. After 46 years of success, we continue to experience gradual growth. The Operations Manager reports directly to the Senior Managing Directors and is a crucial decision-maker. Job Brief

We are looking for an Operations Manager to maintain and oversee the overall functioning of business operations, including finances, staffing, policies, and goal setting. This person does not merely supervise the work of others but has an active personal workload.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform tasks associated with the daily activities of operations and accounting, staff, logistics, IT, human resources, contracts, etc.
• Assist senior management in planning for future growth and profitability
• Plan and coordinate administrative procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline processes
• Human resources supervision. Directly supervises administrative support staff and analysts staff
• Facilitate contract negotiations and management of services and equipment contracts
• Manage IT in-house and outside service providers and perform computer-related troubleshooting and repair of staff computers (outside IT manages higher-level tasks)
• Management of accounting to include budgeting, reporting, monthly and year-end close

Requirements

• Proven office management experience
• Experienced in staff supervision
• A team player with leadership skills
• Knowledge of accounting and Quickbooks accounting software
• Contract negotiation experience
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• An analytical mind with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Range: $75K-$100K
• Option to choose to work from one of our VPA NorCal location (San Jose, San Ramon or Roseville)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
