We are seeking a part-time (3 days per week) hands-on, results-oriented Sr. Accountant with over 10 years’ experience to join our talented team of professionals. This is new position as a result, of growth for a motivated self-starter reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. You will work closely with other members of the organization to deliver accurate and timely financial results, ensure a strong internal control system, and drive operating efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Ensure month-end and year-end close process are executed timely and accurately
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliation and adjusting journal entries
• Additional duties as necessary

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

· CPA, MBA, or BS/BA in Accounting preferred

• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process

· Have superior communication skills and can communicate with all levels of management in in diverse situations.

• Able to multitask, prioritize competing deadlines, and have a strong track record of delivering projects on time.
• Able to work with a sense of urgency, are results-driven, and thrive in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary, and entrepreneurial environment. Have the capacity to work with limited supervision, are willing to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done.
• Must be detail-oriented, take pride in your work, and strive for excellence.
• Must have strong judgement skills and unwavering commitment to professionalism.
