Full Time Patient Access Representative to support our Emergency Department

$4,000 Sign On Bonus

EXPECTED HOURS/SHIFT:Full Time (80hours bi-weekly), primarily 7a-330p, to include every other weekend.

FullTime Patient Access Representative to support our Northwestern Associates in Surgery and Urology clinics

EXPECTED HOURS/SHIFT:Full Time (80hours bi-weekly), Monday – Friday, hours variable between 730a-430p.

$4,000 Sign On Bonus

FullTime Patient Access Representative to support our Northwestern Orthopedics and Ophthalmology clinics

EXPECTED HOURS/SHIFT:Full Time (72hours bi-weekly), Monday – Friday, hours variable between 730a-430p.

$4,000 Sign On Bonus

Part Time Switchboard Operator

EXPECTED HOURS/SHIFT:Part Time (48hours bi-weekly), Generally Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 7a-3p to include holidays, with occasional evening and weekend hours.

$2,000 Sign On Bonus

Northwestern Medical Center is also recruiting for per diem opportunities within our Patient Access Team. As a per-diem team member, you will have no regularly scheduled hours, but will have the opportunity to learn different areas of patient access to pick up shifts based on your availability as needed, to cover team member vacations and sick time. Opportunities include:

Per Diem Patient Access Representative to support our Emergency Department and Switchboard

EXPECTED HOURS/SHIFT:Per-Diem (variable hours), generally 7a-3p, 3p-11p or 11p-7a to include weekends as needed.

Per Diem Switchboard Operator to support our Switchboard

EXPECTED HOURS/SHIFT:Per-Diem (variable hours), 7a-3p, 3p-11p and 11p-7a to include weekends as needed.

Per Diem Patient Access Representative to support our Northwestern Medical Group

EXPECTED HOURS/SHIFT:Per-Diem (variable hours), generally between 8a-5p, Monday-Friday

JOB SUMMARY:

The Patient Access Representative performs patient access functions for Northwestern Medical Center or Northwestern Medical Group. Exact functions will vary depending on the opportunity but may include:

• Appointment Scheduling

• Telephone Support

• Registration and Pre-Registration

• Payer Eligibility

• Medical Record Management

• Point of Service Collections/Estimation

• Switchboard Operation (including phone, alarms, and radio)

• Other Customer Service Functions

  
  

The Patient Access Representative provides exceptional and efficient patient focused customer service.

PREREQUISITES

Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:Prior customer service experience preferred. Experience in medical office/hospital setting preferred, but not required. basic computer and typing skills required.

Skills:Must be detail oriented, organized, be able to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities and prioritize appropriately, have basic math skills to collect money and make change, and have strong communication skills to communicate with people in a professional and tactful manner.
