Responsibilities of Payroll Specialist/HR Generalist:

• Checking timesheets for accuracy
• Entering data into databases and spreadsheets
• Handling direct deposit requests and data
• Processing paper checks for distribution
• Acquiring all necessary signatures to distribute payroll
• Processing wage garnishments
• Making adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses and commission
• Monitors credentials and follows-up as needed.

• Maintains knowledge of current contractual and agency requirements for timekeeping.
• Sets up and maintains provider information in online credentialing databases and system.
• Tracks license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals.
• Work with hospitals, facilities and vendor managers.
• Work as a team player within the office to effectively place candidates.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with employees and candidates.

Skills & Qualifications of the Payroll Specialist/HR Generalist:

• Minimum of an associate’s degree, or two years work experience.
• MUST have a high level of organization and have meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn, adapt and take on new tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to organize work and complete task within a timely manner.
• Basic Microsoft Excel and Word experience.
• Multi-tasking capabilities.
