Job Description

• Responsible for performing phlebotomy duties such as collecting, organizing, and preparing blood collection specimens.
• Provides instructions to patients for proper specimen collections.
• Performs related duties as required and provides technical and clerical support in the laboratory as necessary.
• Performs computer data entry, backup in computer, logs in results and produces reprints.
• Maintains stock and inventory of phlebotomy supplies.

Qualifications include

• Phlebotomy Training program completed.
• Phlebotomy certification
• One-year work experience in a fast-paced medical setting is preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

• Experience with pediatric patients is preferred.
• Ability to work as a team and punctuality is a must.
• Bilingual in order to communicate effectively with patients.

• Compassionate and patient/service oriented.

• Computer skills and experience with electronic health records.
• Strong organizational multi-tasking skills and ability to maturely handle disruptions in a fast-paced setting.

From time to time may be assigned to multiple sites or work variation or extended hours.
