PRN Phlebotomist needed for busy in-house Primary Care lab. Estimated 8-24hrs per month.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures and equipment, accessioning, verifying specimens and specimen requirements

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules.

Skill in communicating in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing.

Skill in planning, organizing, and time management.

Skill in using a computer and a variety of software, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) software, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

Skill in managing multiple priorities and problem solving.

Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet established goals and objectives.

Ability to maintain high levels of professional and personal integrity.

Ability to convey professional demeanor and sound judgment in dealing with patients’ care, protection of patient privacy, and confidentiality.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Ability to act as a good representative of the company.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Highschool diploma or GED required. A minimum of two (2) year of experience in phlebotomy, utilizing electronic Health Records (EHR) required. eClinicalworks experienced preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• This role operates in a healthcare setting. This position requires frequent standing, walking, and computer work. This position allows employee to moderately vary physical position or activity for comfort. Must be able to:

Stand 75% or longer of workday.

Walk 15% or longer of workday.

Sit 10% of workday.

• Requires ability to lift and maneuver up to 35 pounds occasionally.
• Requires employee to: bend, squat, kneel, and reach above shoulder level occasionally and twist occasionally.
• Requires repetitive use of hands for: simple grasping, fine manipulation, computer use.
• Requires all sensory skills (speech, vision, smell, touch, and hearing) corrected to near normal range.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
