Job Description

Core Diagnostic Laboratories is looking to hire an experienced and motivated Pediatric Phlebotomist/Specimen Collector to be a part of our growing laboratory team! The main laboratory is located in Birmingham, AL. This phlebotomy/collection pediatric position will be onsite at a client's office in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Employee will be responsible for the collection and preparation of all specimens for submission to the laboratory. Experience in specimen collection and phlebotomy is a must. Must be comfortable handling biohazardous materials with provided PPE.

MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH PEDIATRIC PHLEBOTOMY AND COMFORTABLE WITH INFANTS TO ADOLESCENT AGES.

MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.

Responsibilities:

· Accurately order all tests listed on the patient requisition form

· Collect/draw patient samples required for the tests ordered

· Prepare samples for shipment to the laboratory

· Follow HIPPA regulations and Universal Precautions

· Communicate issues to management in a timely manner

Skills:

· Attention to detail

· Sample processing experience

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Efficient in computer operations

· Previous lab experience is preferred

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
