A Physical Therapist performs treatments and exercises to help patients recover from illnesses and injuries. Their main duties include using various treatment techniques to develop personalized treatment plans, increase mobility and teaching patients exercise techniques to improve their health. Pay Rate: $45 per hour and up, based on experience

(Sign-on Bonus is Available after 60-day employment period has been reached)

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and review their medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons
• Diagnose movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they move about
• Develop an individualized treatment plan
• Coach patients and teach them therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition
• Maintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly
• Advise patients and their families on in-home treatment options and what to expect from the recovery process
• Observe, note, and report on progress of long- and short-term treatment goals
• Collect data and document processes followed
• Regularly follow-up client

Skills

• Proven working experience as a physical therapist
• Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of physical therapy
• Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
• Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
• Professional behavior
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Valid license to practice physical therapy
• BS degree or greater in physical therapy
• New graduates encouraged to apply
