Introduction:

West Valley Medical Associates is looking for a PRN Advance Practice Practitioner (APP) who is motivated, enthusiastic, driven team member, and demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate for this position is a practitioner who has a passion for hospital-based medicine and who excels in a multidimensional role as an APP.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Comfortable with a full scope of ICU care.

· Manage an array of acute and chronic illnesses independently or in conjunction with a supervising physician.

· Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation

· Preferred knowledge and ability to administer high-level procedures.

· Assist patients with healing and recovery after surgery.

· Appropriate and timely documentation of care.

· Prescribes or recommends pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.

· Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

· Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.

· Consult appropriate physician(s) for patient care.

· Refer patients to appropriate sources of care.

Qualifications:

· Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

· Current state license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant.

· Active DEA license

· Excellent organization and attention to detail.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to prioritize tasks.

· Experience is not required. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Schedule

· The PRN APP position will work a variety of shifts, up to 8 shifts a month. Each shift will be 10-12 hours.

Compensation:

· $55 per hour
