GENERAL SUMMARY:

Modern Recreational Technologies, a division of RPM International, Inc. is seeking a product marketing specialist to help develop and direct product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the marketplace. This position will help develop, execute, and monitor marketing programs across a variety of channels. Their work includes researching the market, analyzing trends to help define the organization's marketing strategy, and providing advice as to how to best reach the target market. Depending on the role, marketing specialists may also help with the coordination of events such as trade shows or conferences. Additional skill set and development will be focused around marketing deliverables ranging from product launch campaigns to market brand concepts.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Manage annual product life cycle plan.
• Assist in development of product positioning and messaging for.
• Collaborate good margin management initiatives with VP of Marketing.
• Maintain new business idea generation content.
• Maintain product and process improvement recommendations.
• Manage website content and updates. (Including Ecommerce)
• Manage all product labels and update process.
• Manage Product Data Sheets and update process.
• Develop, implement, and track marketing programs such as email, social media, or digital campaigns, and events.
• Collaborate with other internal teams (e.g. product and sales) to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives.
• Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns and KPI’s.
• Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new marketing opportunities.
• Update all literature and systems as appropriate.
• Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different mediums.
• Assist in bi-annual national sales meeting development and content.
• Update PIMS, pack shots, product positioning and descriptions for all products.
• Build and maintain annual marketing budget for all brands.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

• Associates Degree in Marketing or similar discipline
• Excellent reporting skills using Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Skilled in writing and editing content with an attention to detail
• Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills

Desired requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or similar discipline
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP System (D365) and Power BI
• Recreational industry experience
• 2-5 years marketing or sales experience
• Ecommerce experience

Reasoning Ability

• Strategic business approach and reasoning need to be demonstrated through previous work experience.

• Ability to work in office or remote.
• Some travel is required to key marketing activities in North America.

• Average overnight travel expected to be 50 nights annually

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
