Purpose:
The Planning Manager will be responsible for leading the planning initiatives of the company, including supply, demand, Inventory planning, production planning, and the S&OP process.
This function will play a critical role to improve service levels for our internal and external customers, improve efficiencies in our manufacturing process, adhere to our inventory policies, and drive the S&OP process.
A cross-functional mindset and team-player approach will be critical to success In this role, you will lead and develop the skills of a planning team that has a large impact on the success of Swiss Krono USA.
Dimensions:
· Direct supervision over 2 production planning schedulers
· Oversight of demand planning and S&OP Processes
Key Responsibilities:
· Responsible to drive the demand, Supply, and Inventory Planning processes
· Responsible for managing the production Planning team
· Partner with leadership to direct S&OP strategy and identify opportunities for process improvements
· Responsible for Inventory optimization, develop strategies which optimize stocking levels that minimize costs and optimize customer availability. This includes but is not limited to determining what to stock, appropriate service levels, and safety stock maintenance
· Responsible for developing a supply plan that supports the demand forecast for all customers
· Ensure KPIs are tracked and support understanding with regular reporting and variance explanations- such as, forecast accuracy, inventory levels, inventory turns, and stockouts
· Problem solves to quickly address barriers to results, identify alternatives, and uses sound business judgment in decision making
· Ensure ERP system is setup to provide a statistical forecast to support the S&OP process and cadence.
· Own development and maintenance of reports required to support the planning process and ensure publication and distribution, including, but not limited to variance reporting and requirements for suppliers, logistics, and operations based on the management forecast
· Analyze complex sales and inventory data, drawing logical and meaningful conclusions, propose actions and ensure proper execution
· Continually focuses on improvement through process, metrics, and technology
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with peers as well as the leadership team
· Responsible for team development, accountability, and adherence to system standards and policies as well as correction action programs.
· Maintain relationships with counterparts in other group sites to ensure awareness of best practices and compliance with global standards.
Professional Experience:
· BS/BA in supply chain or another business-related discipline (MBA preferred)
· At least 7 years of experience in a related position
· Analytical thinker with the ability to utilize appropriate data and information for making informed decisions
· Ability to hold others accountable and meet deadlines
· Excellent communication, management, coaching, and organization skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, must be able to influence
· Strong interpersonal skills and adept at collaborating with key business stakeholders and vendors
· Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Experience creating and executing short-term tactical plans as well as long-term strategic plans
· Ability to problem solve and apply independent judgment.
· Maintains a positive, professional demeanor in all interactions with colleagues.
Technical Skills:
· Must have strong proficiency with ERP systems (SAP experience preferred)
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

· Must be a strong leader with excellent communication skills
· Must be detail oriented and capable of interpreting/communicating complex analytics

Fluent and articulate English speaker with advanced English drafting and writing skills
Mobility:
· Role based in the US, Barnwell, SC
· Ability to travel on short notice, including internationally
· Travel up to 15 %
