Founded in 2009, Interstate Construction Management is a full-service General Contractor and Construction Management Company located in Lindstrom, Minnesota, providing diverse commercial construction services in the Midwest area.

JOB OBJECTIVE: Plan and supervise commercial construction projects from start to finish. Organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Must be well-versed in construction methodologies and procedures and be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Work with Clients from the start of a project to ensure a clear understanding of the project vision and scope.

· Collaborate with Clients, Architects and Engineers to determine the design and specifications of the project.

· Establish construction budgets, estimates and schedules to best meet the Client's needs.

· Negotiate contracts with Clients, Subcontractors, Vendors and Suppliers.

· Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.

· Work in conjunction with Field Operations to ensure construction operations and scheduled work is completed on time and within budget.

· Process change orders, payment applications, invoices and project close out.

Desired Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction as a project manager

• Degree in construction management, or related field experience in commercial construction and estimating

• Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles, practices & techniques and technologies

• Must have a valid unrestricted driver’s license

• Ability to travel to project sites as required

• Leadership skills to communicate and influence others around you

• Strong attention to detail, ability to negotiate, excellent time management skills to ensure all established deadlines are met

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple projects at same time, in an efficient manor along with minimal supervision

• Ability to read and understand contracts, plans, schedules and specs

• Ability to understand, reconcile, review AIA requisitions, project budgets, scheduling, and estimating

• Strong analytical and logic skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of precision on detailed work

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (including Microsoft Project), Procore, Bluebeam and general computer/tablet skills (bonus with AutoCAD, P6, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to read and understand Architectural, Structural and Engineered Drawings.

· In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials and project management principles.

· Ability to estimate project costs of various types of commercial construction.

· Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Project Management Software.

· Experience with Procore software a plus.

· Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of corporate representatives.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· A team player and leadership abilities.
