Job Title: Regional Hub General Manager

Location: Ventura, California

Reports to: Head of National Operations

Type of Position: Full-time

General Description

The Regional Hub General Manager will be responsible for supervising and managing people, process and an industrial location supporting a regional geographical/multi state area. The Regional Hub General Manager is responsible for ensuring the Hub operates with diligence and performance which meets the MERIDIAN standards. The goal is to manage the entire rental and sales cycle to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

· Strategically plan and manage warehouse, transportation, and logistics related to sales and rental customers.

· Maintain an elevated level of employee morale to minimize turnover and maximize customer service satisfaction.

· Supervising/Scheduling Employees.

· Recruiting, vetting, interviewing, and hiring additional employees.

· Managing employee hours; approving overtime.

· Scheduling of rental jobs; managing the profitability of rental jobs.

· General safety of employees – annual training and certifications.

· Work with Amerisafe to ensure all safety standards are maintained and certified.

· Hub’s overall cleanliness and organization.

· Maintaining good relationships with existing customers and catering to their needs with superior customer service.

· Organizing monthly safety meetings with installers to ensure that the MERIDIAN standards are kept up to date with appropriate documentation.

· Documenting and record-keeping of all movements of company assets.

· Implement and maintain the “5-S” System (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).

· Adhere to the company asset Maintenance Program. Trucks, trailers, barriers, beam gates, haulers, etc.

· Inventory Management of all assets and accessories and keeping stock of required items before the inventory is depleted.

· Forecast the week’s deployment schedule and ensure the vehicles, trailers and loads are in good working order for the installer to have a seamless installation.

· Implementing a rental employee manual covering all aspects of rental operations, including safety, people, VSMPs, deliveries, deployments, people management at events, and After-Action Reports.

· Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.

· Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.

· Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.

· Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments.

· Resolve any arising problems or complaints.

· Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce.

· Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.

· Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.

· Assist with deployments, when necessary, with occasional travel for deployments when necessary.

· Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

· 5 years of experience operating a branch or small business.

· Proven working experience as a Hub Manager.

· Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.

· Team Leader with the ability to mentor new employees.

· Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently.

· Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.

· Understanding of labor laws and overtime.

· Microsoft Office Suite.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Eager to expand branch with new accounts, clients, and businesses.

· Ability to drive pick-up truck + trailer a must.

· Record of successful distribution and logistics management.

· Demonstrate ability to lead and manage staff.

· Proficient in standard logistics software.

· Excellent analytical, problem solving and organization skills.

· Forklift skills.

· Prepare to obtain Class A Driver’s License.

· A seasoned mature individual.

· Technical skills for managing trailers, trucks, and equipment.

· Must have prior rental equipment experience.

· Must have prior logistics experience.

· Must have warehouse experience.

· Management skills for running teams of people and schedule workflow for events.

· Must have technical skills for Excel, building VSMP plans or traffic flow plans.

· Asset management and tracking skills.

· Must understand the maintenance of equipment.

· Understanding of safety protocols and OSHA standards.

· A background in events is preferred but not essential.

· Prepare to travel within the region of Ventura, California and to other company-owned rental hubs.

· Organization skills and understanding of the importance of quality and a high customer service discipline for service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $125,000.00 per year
