The Role

As a Registered Nurse at Alsana, you will partner with the Nurse Manager to support daily oversight and management of the client services at Alsana. This position includes work in the areas of client admissions and discharges, medication management, medical procedure oversight, medical documentation review and oversight, on-going clinical staff supervision, training and compliance, and other duties assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Conducts all required nursing assessments
• Completes all required nursing documents in the EMR accurately and within the required timeframe
• Inputs biometric data into the EMR and reassess clients as needed
• Administers and manages client medications
• Coordinates with pharmacy for medication orders and deliveries according to HIPAA protocols and facility policy
• Organizes, coordinates, and follows up on all consultations with physicians and other medical providers
• Communicates and collaborates with other members of the multi-disciplinary team
• Participates in client observations and milieu management to promote safety and support as needed
• Monitors the nutritional and dietary needs of the clients and reports non-compliance with the plan of care
• Administers first aid according to facility policy, including all appropriate follow-up documentation
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid license as an RN. BSN preferred.
• Current CPR Certification
• 1+ years clinical experience in a mental health or residential facility is preferred
• 1+ years hospital based clinical experience preferred
