Spee-Dee Delivery is looking for a self-motivated and customer service orientated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As a Route Driver you would be a company representative making deliveries and picking up freight.

HOURS AND WAGE:

• Monday- Friday, 7:30AM- completion of route
• 10-15 hours of overtime expected each week
• Voluntary OT on weekends (as needed)
• Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week
• Starting wage: $20.00 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Delivers and picks up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers
• Inspects and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle
• Loads the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages
• Collects payments for certain packages delivered
• Verifies the content of pickups on shipping papers
• Notifies management of any problems or discrepancies
• Maintains professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle
• Assists other drivers and operations personnel with duties, as needed

YOU ARE A GREAT FIT IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 21 years of age and holds a valid Driver's License
• A good driving record which meets company standards
• Ability to operate a manual transmission, or have the willingness to learn
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background, and a DOT physical exam
• Ability to bend, lift, twist, climb stairs, while moving freight on and off company vehicle
• Ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 100 pounds
• Possess good customer service and can work independently
