Renaissance Marine Group is comprised of two brands: Duckworth and Weldcraft. These brands are distributed through approximately 40 independent brand dealers located in the Western US states, Western Canada, and the Great Lakes region of the US. Our Products are designed and built in our 75,000 sq. foot state-of-the-art welded aluminum boat factory using 3-D modeling software.

ACTIVITIES YOU’LL GET TO DO:

Health & Safety

  • Audit and evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and administer corrective actions to ensure adherence to WA L&I guidelines and lead to a safer work environment.
  • Oversee case management for injured workers, including, reviewing, investigating, reporting, etc. while following appropriate WA State actions for injured worker’s compensation claims.
  • Work in conjunction with WA Manufacturers Council Risk Finance to ensure injured employees receive the care and benefits afforded to them per WA State L&I while ensuring the best interests of RMG are maintained.
  • Review and update various compliance procedures and plans.
  • Update plant safety/evacuation maps as needed.
  • Manage the RMG Safety Committee, including scheduling of meetings and plant audits.
  • Conduct new hire safety trainings.
  • Provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations, and procedures including but not limited to: Basic First Aid, AED, Forklift, Respirator, LOTO, Fire Systems, GHS & Hazardous Material, etc. and maintain personal knowledge of all policies.
  • Prepare, update, and enforce policies to establish a culture of continual health and safety.
  • Perform safety compliance inspections including hazard analysis, safe work procedures, written reports and recommendations.
  • Develop and recommend solutions, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures and work with Operations Manager to ensure their success.
  • Administer Hearing Conservation program and schedule annual testing for employees.
  • Prepare safety announcements and reminders to employees weekly.
  • Update injury board and EHS visuals.
  • Attend appropriate annual training by vendors and/or certification agencies to augment personal skills and knowledge.
  • Coordinate the annual flu campaign including the coordination of on-site flu clinic.

Human Resources

  • Ensures human resource policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Assist with policy creation and updating the handbook as needed.
  • Manage attendance tracking.
  • Assist with recruiting, interview scheduling, and testing applicants.
  • Assist in development of HR related training programs for supervisors/management.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Advise and assist departmental managers on the interpretation and administration of policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, including COBRA notices.
  • Assist in maintaining personnel records.
  • Assist with performance review program record keeping.
  • Assist with wage surveys within labor market.
  • Assist with employee engagement & event planning initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree form a two-year college or university; and/or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
