We are excited to expand our presence in the Missouri Cannabis market with the opening of CPC of Missouri Smithville LLC, a brand new Cannabis cultivation and processing facility.

We are currently seeking an experienced Security Agent to join our growing team. This position reports to the Security Director and is part time. Responsible for providing visible presence in the facility, mitigating theft and fraud, and maintaining a safe and secure work environment for all employees and visitors.

The DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES required for this position shall include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for evaluating exterior and interior facility for security threats.
  • Monitoring all security equipment and surveillance cameras
  • Liaising with security monitoring company and law enforcement if needed. Responding during security incidents.
  • During health emergencies, remains in a security monitoring role to ensure security is not compromised due to the unexpected incident.
  • Stand post and patrol the facility and property to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
  • Provide rapid response to safety, fire, crime, theft, and other emergencies on the facility.
  • Observe and report all safety hazards and violations.
  • Prepare and submit daily activity reports.
  • Conduct visual searches of employees, visitors, and other members of the facility.
  • Conduct physical bag checks when deemed necessary.
  • Monitor security cameras.
  • Perform other duties as required by Security Director and other members of the management team.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED

  • High school diploma required. Formal Loss Prevention/Security training a plus.
  • Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Military or law enforcement experience a plus.
  • Must be friendly, outgoing, trustworthy, dependable, and hardworking.
  • Must be able to provide exemplary customer service and represent the business with pride.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and investigate suspicious behavior and/or activity.
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflict.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of previous Security and/or Loss Prevention experience preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have no felony convictions. Must comply with a background check/fingerprinting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability, with a significant sense of ownership and accountability for one’s work.
  • Methodical approach to work, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Must become and remain fluent with all federal, state, county, and city requirements and will be responsible for ensuring employees and visitors are compliant while on the property.
  • Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
  • Maintain professional appearance and treat all employees and visitors with respect.
  • Trained in CPR/First Aid

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to work on their feet, and be comfortable walking, crouching, and standing for long periods of time, as well as sitting at a desk for long periods of time. The individual must be able to concentrate on paperwork, general data, numbers, and be familiar with the legal compliance. The individual must be capable of reviewing their work for errors and make adjustments as necessary. The individual may be required to lift up to 50 pounds at a time, and occasionally use scaffolding and/or portable ladders.
