Responsibilities for Senior Accountant

• Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures for multiple entities.
• Analyze, and reconcile liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling electronic data and other required documentation according to monthly, quarterly, and annual close schedules, and assist in the communication of financial status and variances
• Prepare and analyze various transactions reports, including journal entries, accruals, payroll activity from outside processor, fixed asset administration, expense report administration, and employee benefit accounting
• Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
• Monitor and comply with all federal, state, and local protocols including preparing and oversight of sales and use tax fillings, franchise taxes, and periodic information requests
• Coordinate financial audit.
• Prepares credit memo’s, miscellaneous invoices, and post receipts to account receivable register.
• Other projects as assigned

Qualifications for Senior Accountant

• Bachelor or higher degree in accounting or finance with solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals
• Five years' experience working with intercompany transactions and reconciliation in preparation for audit
• Thorough understanding of financial application security ensuring that all financial data is secure and complies with confidentiality policies
• Ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; and other accounting systems
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently with a high attention to details and established skills in accuracy, organization, and proficiency to working in a high-volume environment against assigned deadlines.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,643.05 - $58,623.89 per year
