Senior Cloud Engineer – Reinventing Recordkeeping

The Role

As a member of Reinventing Recordkeeping (RRK) program, you will blend cloud engineering, data, and development expertise to help reinvent Fidelity’s Defined Contribution (DC) recordkeeping system. We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team and help design, build, and prove data-centric capabilities.

The Team

You will join Reinventing Recordkeeping Data Enablers squad where you will collaborate with a cross functional group of architects, cloud experts, operational leads, business leads, and other members of the technical team to define, build, refine, and evolve a resilient Defined Contribution Participant Recordkeeping platform.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree required and at least 3 years of hands-on experience in public cloud engineering
• Public cloud expertise (Azure preferred)
• Solid understanding of public cloud concepts
• Solid understanding of public cloud security models and best practices.
• Comprehensive understanding of public cloud tenancy models, including accounts/subscriptions, identity management, and role management.
• Familiarity with a range of public cloud service offerings.
• Strong understanding of public cloud networking concepts and offerings.
• Experience with database platforms, both stand-alone and managed cloud offerings.
• Experience implementing CICD automation (Jenkins Core preferred)
• Familiarity with cloud ETL/ELT tools, Azure Data Factory, STRIIM preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud cost models, economics, and billing practices.
• Familiarity with public cloud storage services.
• Experience with database platforms, both stand-alone and managed cloud offerings.
• Familiarity with public cloud based secret management capabilities.
• Familiarity with SQL queries.
• Experience with resiliency and stability design principals, including SRE.
• Familiarity with large complex system design
• Familiarity with distribution application design and development (Java, .Net, Python) would be a plus.
• Shell scripting experience.
• Linux environment experience.
• Financial services experience preferred.
