PCH is seeking a Senior Finance & Accounting Associate. The position reports to the Controller and is principally responsible for monitoring day-to-day finance activities across multiple portfolio companies, including financial reporting, cashflow management, and compliance. Additionally, the successful candidate will partner with relevant stakeholders in the design and execution of strategic initiatives that generate long-term value.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as PCH’s representative to a portion of our portfolio companies on day-to-day finance-related activities and act as an effective liaison between portfolio company executive management and PCH finance leadership
• Check and verify source documents such as invoices, receipts and other information
• Reconcile various general ledger accounts to internally and externally prepared schedules
• Process payroll and data entry
• Oversee all day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities
• Submit financial reports
• Oversee the general ledger
• File bank reconciliations
• Perform basic accounting functions
• Reconciliation of monthly reports
• Assist in recordkeeping and documentation as needed
• Participate in annual portfolio company audits and tax reporting and ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
• Drive timely financial reporting from portfolio companies, including BOD presentations
• Provide regular MD&A on portfolio company performance to support PCH’s internal and external stakeholder reporting requirements

Requirements:

• BA in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years progressive finance and accounting experience
• Private equity or PE-backed company experience preferred
• Strong accounting operations background
• Excellent interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills
• Process-driven individual with a track record of implementing process improvements
• Experience with and working knowledge accounting/ERP solutions
• Minimal travel expected outside Twin Cities Metro

Compensation:

• Salary from $60,000 - $100,000 plus annual bonus
